Account pool — how the AI IDE account pool works

The account pool is the heart of Dawvia. It turns scattered Cursor and Windsurf logins into one unified resource pool: configure credentials centrally, allocate seats on demand, and isolate any failing account automatically, so a whole team shares quota instead of juggling separate logins and shared passwords.

Why do you need an account pool?

Without pooling, every engineer signs in alone, hits rate limits alone, and quota is neither visible nor fully used:

  • Accounts are scattered and credentials get passed around in chat — no path to compliance.
  • One rate-limited account stalls a person, and single points drag down team output.
  • How much is used, by whom, and how much is left all depend on manual tallying.

A unified account pool makes "who can use it, which one, and how much is left" a platform capability — configurable, observable and governable.

How does the pooling model work?

A pool is made of connected accounts (see Connect accounts):

  1. Register each Cursor / Windsurf account as an encrypted pool member.
  2. Allocate usage by team, department or member — provision and revoke instantly.
  3. Route requests through a single entry, where quota balancing
